Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.

I found them to fit true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
